5 mm crochet hook
Yarn: himalaya dolphin baby
Colors: Brown (80337), cream (80333).
Stitch markers
Scissors
Fiberfill
Small amount of black thread for mouth.
8 mm plastic safety eyes
Abbreviations:
MR: Magic ring
St: stitch
Slst: Slip stitch
Sc: Single crochet
Ch: Chain
Inc: Increase
Dec: Decrease
BLO: Back loop only
FLO: Front loop only
AMIGURUMI SNAIL FREE PATTERN
Shell
Use brown yarn:
R1. 6 sc in MR (6)
R2. inc in each st around (12)
R3. inc in each st around (24)
R4. (1sc,inc)*12 (36)
R5. sc in each st around (36)
R6. BLO, sc in each st around (36)
Crochet a second piece following the same steps as above.
Using cream yarn, embroider with the slip stitch method as desired.
Place the two pieces on top of each other with the backs facing inwards.
Take one stitch from each of the back loops (BLO) of both pieces and join them together with a slip stitch.
(Alternatively, you can sew them together using a needle and thread).
Fill the inside with stuffing before completely closing.
Head and body
Use cream yarn:

R2. inc in each st around (12)
R3. (1sc,inc)*6 (18)
R4. sc in each st around (18)
R5. (1sc,dec)*6 (12)
R6. 8sc, dec, dec (10)
R7-16. sc in each st around (10)
R17. 8 sc, dec (9)
R18-22. sc in each st around (9)
R23. 7 sc, dec (8)
R24-25. sc in each st around (8)

R27. Join the remaining 4 sc together.
Attach the eyes on row 4, leaving 6 single crochets between them.
Sew the head to the shell, starting from the 5th row from the back of the head.

Antenna: make 2
Use cream yarn:
Make chain 7, make a single crochet in the 4th chain from the hook, and work slip stitches back down to the starting point.
Sew the antennas on row 2, leaving a space of 5 single crochets between them.
Using black thread and a needle, embroider a smiling mouth on row 5.
Both snails are made using the same body pattern: the only difference is in the eye patterns. If you want to create the 2nd snail with bigger eyes, follow these steps specifically for the eyes.

Attach the safety eyes, close the remaining 6 stitches with a needle, and sew the eyes side by side on row 2.
